borrowed this book from my cousin.. its an inspirational book



most of the pPle follows their parents'(including mine) advice of "if u don't get gd grades, u won't get into uni, and then u won't get a gd job"

the author mentioned that this advice is in fact a bad advice to the adults..
according to his dad, the educational system used in most countries is originated hundreds of yrs ago in Prussia. It is not design to educate kids, but to create gd soldiers & employees.

i believed that many will answer that they studied so hard is to get a good job(this prove the statement abv).. we are now in the Information Age and its time to teach pPLe to look beyond looking for a safe, secure job.

furthermore, a child leaves sch with gd grades doesn't mean the child will be successful in real life..success in the academic world insure doesn't insure success in the real world..

the author also said that u don't get rich @ work, u get rich @ home..by doing ur homework which is investment.. and i totally agree


anyway.. i had a bad day today.. rather moody
damn unlucky.. my slippers spoiled while walking to the interchange, and i've to ask my dad to bring my another pair of slippers.. the 1 he brought is torn..so i've to go home with him to change another pair.. on top of that.. my fav. pair also spoiled yesterday.. wth

1st day of cny- visited paternal relatives.. also went to cl kor kor place.. his bro got a shih tzu.. very obedient.. though i'm afraid of dogs.. but definitely not this 1.. hee
he still remembers i like to eat half boil egg.. after i left his place, he phoned me and taught me how to cook.. for ur info.. we are childhood playmates.. his parents took care of me when i was a baby..
next, went to my grandma's place to haf dinner.. followed by blackjack


2nd day of cny - went to grandma hse again... as usual, we play blackjack, eat dinner followed by movie with cousins.. just follow law is indeed hilarious.. laugh thruout the show.. fann wong did a very good job..

as 2 of my cousins are in the lion dance troupe.. they came to perform for us.. hee..





more gambling session after the show.. and we played till 7 in the morning..


3rd day of cny - only rested for 2 hrs even though theres no more bai nian..
met kel for dinner and movie.. we watched protege..its very embarassing when the staff stopped me to check my IC.. >_<>yesterday - went to my aunt's place to haf dinner after sch.. some of my cousins were there.. 2 mahjong tables plus 1 table for card games... we ended the session by several rounds of in-between game..

clean my room today.. this include throwing away unwanted items and wiping the thick layer of dust accumulated since last yr..satisfied with the work... =)




gw and rl planning to give each other a v-day gift.. they intend to send by post.. realLy interesting..

yesterday, my dad brought back 5 meiji hampers for us.. but we only took 1 and the rest will be given to the relatives.. i swear that after finishing that huge amt of chocolates.. confirm will get fat..

this afternoon, my dad got some men to paint half of the living room.. i was wondering why didn't he get them to paint the entire hse.. only to realise that that it cost ard $1500 for that..




just attended grace's wedding on sun.. its realLy tiring to be the sisters.. woke up at 5.30 in the morning to prepare and took a cab to her place.. brought along the roses and wrist corsage i make for the girls.. the guys shld be there by 7.30 but they were damn late.. reached there at 9am so we got no time to sabo them.. the angbao they gave was only 30 bucks.. and 5 of us has to share among ourselves..

despite all these.. it still fun.. and thx kelvin for sending us home to change..

steph and me were the recept for the banquet.. abit stress as we haf to allocate the tables to the guests in a short time.. i also incharge of the music.. hapPy that it went smoothly.. hee

during the 1st march in.. we threw rose petals and those "fire crackers".. the brothers brought the "soap-foam-bubble" thingy.. but i got no enough hands for that.. hai hai..therefore, lester asked me to choose between the bubble or petals..

after the 2nd march in..was the champagne pouring.. we went up the stage for the yum seng session.. thx to the brothers for pouring away the champagne for me.. lol..

i saw mathew pon.. he is grace's cousin.. so hapPy to see him..

gonna attend my cousin's wedding this coming weekend.. 3 weddings in a row.. is this a gd month to get marry??




i'm back from kl..
4D3N stay wasn't enough..
check in to concorde hotel when we arrived..
though the exterior of the building look old..but the interior is well-furnished..definitely live up to its 4-star business class hotel.. furthermore, we had the KLCC view..
wat a pity that i nv bring my swimsuit..if not, confirm jump into the pool..
and i must say the buffet breakfast @ melting pot is wonderful..

1st day - shopPing trip
spent most of our time in times sq.. den couple of hrs in sungei wang and lot 10.. last stop was chinatown..

2nd day - went KLCC
got excited when i saw A&W.. i miss the curly fries, the waffle, the root beer float.. however, didn't get to eat them..
went times sq to colour and highlight my hair.. cost me $272.. got cheated and i dislike my new hair style..

went over to sungei wang again be4 we headed back to the htl.. yvon's bro came to fetch us @ night.. he speeds.. the journey to yvon's hse was super shiok..

one of her relatives just bought a new 2- seaters sport car.. pPLe was queueing for a free ride on his car.. really like the feeling of speeding..

slpt @ her place tt night.. 5 of us (alfred, ginny, sheena, jamie and me) shared a room while claudie, yvon and her bridesmaid in another room..


3rd day - yvon's wedding

after the tea ceremony @ yvon's hse.. we went to kenny's place..
heard the sound of the firecracker when i stepped out of the car.. nearly shock me out of my life.. good experience as i nv see firecracker be4..

4th day
check out and went sungnei wang again.. bought a korea style shirt-dress..
den boarded the coach back..

we took the executive first class coach.. damn cool.. spacious and comfy massage chair.. i watched a total of 3 movies on board..

we went kbox.. all of them sing well cept for me..





one of her friends is a korean.. and he sang korea song.. really nice..
while another guy sound like andy lau.. they sing really well..

31st jan and 1st feb was working in ntu eCareer fair..
and i saw a really cute policeman.. he's a inspector eh..

saw a few friends there also..

basically the job is quite slack.. the in-charge is a very nice lady.. ard my age.. she got so many funny jokes and IQ qns.. easy job..
