Sydney Trip - Part 1
(its a long entry.. take ur time to read..)

hey peEps, i'm back from sydney.. the 7days free & easy tour is well-spent..

"i WAS rich"

Day 1-
flew there by british airways and return by qantas.. the 8 hours flight can be quite scary.. cos they keep serving us food.. abit disappointed as i couldn't see the sunrise due to the shorter day and longer night

Day 2-
arrived in sydney int'l airport.. we took a subway to town hall.. and walked to metro hotel on pitt

triple decker train

once we arrived, we started to mess up the room.. here are the evidences

unpacking our stuff

sheena complains that she got no place to put her belongings.. she carried a stool in and asked if i need extra space

planned our 1st day itinerary and off we went.. it rained suddenly when we were @ st james area... abit disappointed as we couldn't complete the list of places we had planned to go.. i suggested DFO as we could shop whole day there.. so we headed to olympic park station.. abt 1 hr journey..

freezing hands..thus sheena wrap my hands with the scarf..

we spent another 1 hr walking to DFO.. luckily i purchased something..if not, its a wasted trip..got 2 levis and a fcuk top.. hee

as it was raining, we had to share an umbrella.. there was one damn funny incident where i was walking behind sheena.. she turns one round with e umbrella but still couldn't find me.. omg.. wonder if i'm really that short or she just blind.. i think its the latter..

went back to htl after our meal..den we continued our sightseeing with my slippers on.. sheena warned me to make sure my slippers dun fly(as it happen frequently in sg) and it really flew.. =x saw cars with croatia flag drove pass..the drivers honked their horns to attract the peEps attention..next, we went to woolworths to buy food(chips, chocolates, juices, soup, fruits)

this is nice... if anyone see this, can help me buy..

watch soccer @ night till i doze off.. missed the aus vs croatia match.. sheena told me e aus supporters were so loud that she could hear it..btw.. theres pubs and lounges next to our htls..

Day 3-
took a blue mountain tour from grayline...
theres 2 hours of free time where we could explore the mountain..
took the scenic skyway to katoomba and we spent 1hr mountain trekking to echo point..shagged to e max..really dun haf the time to walk back.. luckily theres this helpful australian guide offered to drive us back to scenic world..
theres still lill' time left..so we quickly hop on the scenic railway(e steepest railway) to and fro.. shiok.. the track is almost a right angle.. we got no seat belts..thus, we had to rely on the handle.. took risk to take pics in there..

safety precaution sign for the scenic railway

you won't see this kind of sign in SG.. but you sure find alot of "Do Not Litter" -FINE $500 sign

next, they drove us to featherdale wildlife park..an open concept park where the animals are free to roam ard..

i'm scare... >.<

requested the tour bus to drop us @ darling habour where we continued our sightseeing.. went to habourside mall.. though it opens till 9pm everyday..but nothing much to shop..strolled by the bay enjoying the sea breeze and rewarded ourselves with a scrumptious dinner @ blue fish..

Day 4-free day
we woke up @ 5 in the morning..get ready and head to mrs macquaires chair to see sunrise..
purchased both city hopper and day tripper tkts for unlimited rides.. alighted @ circular quay and started our "walking tour".. its freaking far..i realised that st james station is nearer to mrs macquaires..OMG..still glad that we could take some other pictures along the way..

thereafter, went back htl to take the heat pad for the digi cam..if not, it might die on us.. had bkf @ nearby mona cafe...train to the central station and took a tram to e fish market..lots of seafood @ cheap price... though we were full, we still eat a lobster, mussels and huge fresh prawns..hee

headed to paddy's mkt.. nthing much there.. just those typical pasar malam.. we quickly hopped on to the train and alighted @ museum station.. walked to paddington mkt from there.. took more than an hr to walk.. partly cos we walk the opp. way and the map is not clear.. we walk the opp. directions umpteen times in the 7days..haix..paddington mkt is totally not my type.. the things dun suit me..and its freaking expensive.. price of a top can go up to few hundred aussies

next, took a bus to circular quay where the rocks mkt is located.. mostly selling souvenirs..avg price is 40 aussies..finally finished combing the mkts by 5pm(they only open on wkends till 5).. den we went to find out where the bridgeclimb is located... snap some beautiful pics from e top..

on the very same day, i caught a cold and sore throat.. went woolworths again to buy lozenges.. it didn't work..ironically, it worsen..

we went king cross(somehow like geylang) after that..wanted to watch the show girls.. but sheena said no.. next, we went to star city casino.. they refused to let me enter as i nv bring my passport.. can't proof that i'm abv 18.. quite disappointed..no choice but walk back to htl..

Day 5-

took grayline tour to hunter valley.. stop @ a small hse where we can grab a bite.. many harley davidsons park there.. and the bikers look cool in their leather suit.. followed by 2 wine tasting sessions @ different places.. didn't drink much as i was sick..tour ended after e visit to hunter valley garden..

we alighted at chinatown cos i wan to take a pic of aaron's hotel.. btw, i got a choice to stay either in aaron's or metro hotel.. sheena booked the latter..also had asian food there.. ^^ sick of eating bread..

gonna show cyril this pic..

took tram to starcity again.. brought my passport this time..and i got into the casino.. happy neh~

Day 6-

went for the bridgeclimb @ the rock.. the 3.5hrs experience was totally awesome..its a 'must-do' activity in sydney..definitely trash the skywalk.. the most spectacular view from the top.. can see almost the entire sydney.. can even spot the snowy mountain if your eyesight is good enough.. and i saw e government hse from e top.. look like a castle.. a huge thanks to bernie (the climb leader) who really make the journey fun.. he taught us how to put on the safety belts, the bridge gear and communication equipment.. he used me as the demo.. we had a trail run @ the climb stimulator before we embark onto the bridge..

after the climb, we massaged the person infront of us.. the tall guy(forget his name) from USA did a very gd job... he really reduce the stiffness in my muscles..relaxing~~

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

notice that we are e only asians

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

we make it to e top.. still feel the chill though we are wearing 3 layers of clothings
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

tried walking to e pylon's lookout after e climb..but we walked e wrong direction again.. hence, we gave up.. n went town hall to shop.. we kept going other places when the malls near our htl are the best to shop.. frankly speaking, e htl location is very good..

went back at 6pm and eat dinner (roasted chicken + cup noodles)..we went into lalaland after that.. sheena woke me up @ 12 midnight..i quickly put on my coat and went circular quay to watch the aus vs italy match.. very crowded there..est. to haf 5000 pple.. the aus supporters wore the jersey..some painted their face and a few put on a wig(big bombastic hairdo in green and yellow colour) many wrap the aus flag behind them(like the superman cloak)..

they cheered and jeered during the match, some clowns were standing @ the side playing music(or rather noise)..theres one heroine walked up to the boys and snatched their drums.. *claps* many security guards were there to stop anymore pple to get in the parade sq.. we manage to sneak in though.. theres some troublemakers too..saw a security grab 3 guys.. omg..he damn strong.. after the match, some put fireworks and threw glass bottles from the top.. we haf to dodge here and there to avoid getting hit by the sparks and glass pieces..

quite surprise that most of the pple walk home..too ex to hire a cab...

Day 7-

walked to bills (darlinghurst) from museum station.. my hiccup started again..maybe got a phoba of walking a long distance for the past few days.. the journey to bills is freaking long.. the trip is worth it as they serves wonderful breakfast..i had ricotta hotcakes with fresh banana and honeycomb butter whereas sheena ate sweet corn fritters with roast tomato, spinach and bacon.. visit their webbie www.bills.com.au

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

thereafter, stroll along oxford street.. got a bag... saw a jeans..i like it very much..but it cost $345 aussie.. omg..kill me pls.. wanted to buy a wallet..it make up of many butterflies..very sweet and nice.. but its too girlie..not my type..

went back htl to take our luggages..the front desk person is very helpful.. he suggested us to take the shutter bus to airport as its cheaper.. he helped us called the driver..sadly, we might missed the flight if we wait for the bus.. thus, he went out to hire a cab and helped us carry our luggages.. excellent service.. appreciated..

return to sg by qantas.. had 2 meals in the plane again.. full~~ ended my sightseeing with the spectacular sunset..

theres sydney part 2.. more pictures to come (provided sheena pass it to me) haha
